Our Mission is to provide help, hope and safety to children in a warm, nurturing family setting.

GOAL

Our Goal is one of Prevention. We care for children whose parents are struggling and/or stressed in this economic crunch. We care for children BEFORE the state needs to remove the children from their family.

The condition of Parents struggling and extremely stressed is growing at a rapid pace. Family Life cannot be nurtured within such structures.

This economic strife is eating away at the emotional health of Family Life. Edelweiss is working to keep innocent children from becoming victims of present circumstances by providing traditional nurturing home environments where children can continue to learn family values, healthy morals and continuing with their education and development.

It is crucial that children are given in-depth help/training before adolescence. At these tender ages, the children are receptive and eager to learn skills that will enable them to be happy, confident, cooperative and responsible individuals.

Edelweiss House is located in Decatur County between Greensburg and Batesville, Indiana.  The property is composed of 150 acres of gentle rolling hills surrounded by a low-running creek, 60 acres of woodlands, small animals and a pond.
 

This beautiful and peaceful setting is truly a child’s haven. It provides endless possibilities for learning about nature, small animals, flowers and garden vegetable. Yes, they help and they are apart of all that goes on at Edelweiss.
